November 2: Take Our Kids to Work Day
- Take Our Kids to Work™ is The Learning Partnership’s signature program involving more than 250,000 Grade 9 students annually. This year, on Wednesday, November 2nd, Grade 9 students across Canada will spend a day in the workplace of a parent, relative, or friend.
- The 35th annual Career Fair will be held at OC from 10:30-3pm

TBA: Regional Skills Competition at Okanagan College - For students in grades 7-10 : Participate in team competitions in Spaghetti Bridges and Gravity Vehicles - Sign up in the Counseling/Career Center today for a fun day at OC -For students in grades 10/11/12 come and test your skills in Automotive service, Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Culinary, Mechanical CAD, Architectural CAD, Fashion Design and Video Production. Compete vs other students for a chance to go to the Provincial Skills Competition. - Sign up in your Counseling/Career Center today for a fun day at OC TBA: Careers in Health and Technology Conference - Students in grade 11 & 12 who are enrolled in sciences and are planning post-secondary training in the medical field will spend the day learning at Kelowna General Hospital. Up to 40 students are involved in a mini training camp which involves seven days at the Vernon Army Camp where students are instructed in law, procedures of law, and the role of police officers in the community.
