Volunteer and Project Placement Opportunities
What is a Project Placement?
The hours awarded from a project placement may be used towards Work Experience 12 (4 credits). A total of 100 hours must be completed before graduation in order to receive this credit. Project placements are community based projects that typically occur after school hours.
September:
September - June: Family Sundays Art Assistants
- for students in grades 10-12 that are interested in assisting art instructors with activities provided each Sunday to children and families.

September - ongoing: Kelowna Hospital Volunteer
- for students in grades 9-12 that are interested in working in various rolls. (Bistro, coffee shop, gift shop)

October 4: - Kelowna Scarecrow Festival Assistant
- for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in helping with games and face painting for children
- For more information or to sign up, please come to the Career Centre
October 25: Family Monster Bash Volunteers
- for Students in Grades 10-12 that are interested in helping with games and activities for children

November and December:

- Uptown Rutland Business Association is holding an Easter Egg Hunt and would love to have a few volunteers to help with face painting.

June:
July and/or August:
- Fat Cat Children's Festival - Friday, June 10 and/or Saturday, June 11, 2016. Students will participate in a unique and engaging annual festival that brings so many smiles to the many children of our community!
July and/or August:
- Volunteer Opportunity at Okanagan College this summer: Students will assist with “Camp OC”, a day summer camp for kids and teens in grades 2 to 9. For more info, see Ms.Long in the Career Centre.
